Internet Marketing Tips: How To Start Profiting Big Time With Your Internet Marketing Efforts

There are many internet marketing tips today claiming to help you become a top notch internet marketer and start making big money online. Unfortunately, much of this information is either complete bogus, and in some cases, can actually hurt your efforts to make money online.

I won’t waste your time with a bunch of bogus about making money, because when it comes to profiting from the internet media, or any media for that matter, there are only two things that really matter-traffic plus conversion. Think about it-this is all that really matters no mater which media you pan on targeting.

You need to first get eyeballs in front of your offer, and then convert those people into paying customerss. If you fail to do this, you won’t make it, in this or any business.

Now, on the internet, there are basically two ways to generate traffic online-pay per click and free search engine traffic, otherwise known as SEO. Generally speaking, SEO is considered better than pay per click, because of one very obvious element-you are getting all your traffic for free.

I am a big advocate of SEO, as you will understand when you read some of my other articles. However, in some instances, I believe that pay per click is not only essential, but is something you can build an entire business model around.

One of the first things you need understand about these two methods is that, while SEO is great for getting free traffic, it generally takes some time before you start seeing results. Pay per click, on the other hand, can start driving you targeted traffic literally within minutes, not months.

Therefore, particularly if you are just putting up a new website, par per click can be a great method to find out if your website converts the traffic into paying customers before working on the SEO aspect of it.

If the site doesn’t get people to do what you want them to (i.e. give you money) there isn’t much point in driving traffic to it at all. Once you have tested your website and maximized its conversion ratio, only now should you start trying to get it ranked.
